Hofstra Trial Advocacy Association

The Hofstra Trial Advocacy Association (HTAA) is a student organization dedicated to developing students’ courtroom advocacy skills through intramural trial competitions. HTAA provides opportunities to gain practical experience, refine trial techniques, and build a strong foundation for legal practice.

HTAA offers students the opportunity to practice trial advocacy before graduating from law school. Through preparation, competition, and collaboration, members strengthen their public speaking, critical thinking, and teamwork skills while building confidence and lasting connections with their peers.

Students seeking membership must participate in the HTAA Fall Intramural Competition. Following the competition, membership offers are extended based on participants’ performance, preparation, and demonstrated effort.
